History and Usage:
Jarrow Formulas Green Mate is an unfermented Yerba Mate 5:1 extract standardized to contain at least 20% caffeoylquinic acid, including 5% chlorogenic acids. Typical Yerba Mate undergoes a fermentation process that destroys the beneficial caffeoylquinic acid. Traditionally, Yerba Mate has been used to promote energy, and recently demonstrated to improve fatty acid oxidation.
Jarrow Formulas Green Mate contains Hyperpure™ EFLA920, a patented, high purity, unfermented Yerba Mate protected by U.S. Patent 6,024,998.
